Elle Grant is an advocate, wife, and mother with an insatiable curiosity, and a passion for research and writing. As a practicing lawyer for more than 30 years, she spent her career looking in depth at a diverse array of topics, from child development to intellectual property, immigration to securities, prison conditions to road construction. She also worked in a wide variety of contexts. As a lawyer and negotiator, she represented individuals and companies before the United States Supreme Court, State and Federal courts, and numerous government agencies. Though no longer actively practicing law, Elle is committed to using her skill set to shed light on challenging issues in these extraordinary times.
In her own life, Elle has experienced the impact of addiction and abuse, and knows first hand about trauma, grief, and loss. She was a single working parent for more than a decade. As a consequence, she recognizes the tough obstacles facing mothers and families today. A strong supporter of the armed forces, she is extremely proud of her nieces and nephews, who are service members and family in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division. Elle is a Silicon Valley native, and a 12th generation American. Between her work and personal background, she brings a unique perspective to current events.
